So I came across a few blog posts from a couple of authors about using Javascript to use some really fancy charting tools and some other complexities. I find the idea really invigorating, in that in some of the included links and included links, you can see where one guy was able to create a change in the RDL by injecting some Java Script into the RDL and getting it to modify the contents of the RDL.Some of the authors even mention the idea of the RDL or ReportItems being presented as iFrames within the webpage presented by SSRS.The problem is, I don't really know jack about doing web related stuff, in my experience using MS BI Tools, you just don't have to get into those details. It seems like some of these ideas could be extended to the point that the static layout situation of SSRS could be overcome. Also, and maybe more valuable, would be the idea that we might be able to overcome the somewhat limited selection of graphs and visual layout items in the SSRS toolbox. Does anybody know that any of these ideas are being used successfully or do I have the wrong conclusions and my ideas are a little far-fetched? (or maybe there is an easier solution, even)I'll include 2 links that I am referring to, but I have no ties to the authors, and they are actually from a couple of years ago, but the ideas are new to me:http://thinknook.com/running-highcharts-within-ssrs-or-any-js-graph-library-2013-01-22/http://blogs.infosupport.com/reporting-services-javascript-injection/Thanks!
